Sunday!

Sundays are a sacred day for us! A day of rest, a day of restoration, a day of praise and thanksgiving. Faith and gratitude have found a place in my life. The God of my understanding is a loving God, a forgiving God, an unconditionally accepting God. I found God in the rooms of recovery and now I see him everywhere!  This little church is a sanctuary for my spirit.  I pray that you all find sanctuary!

Beautiful Butterflies

Caribou antler does not seem like it could be so transformed, yet, under the care and attention of a talented carver like my “Ubertalented” husband, caribou antler becomes something completely different!  I have a visual record of the progression of Lucas Attagutsiak’s tentative beginning, six years ago to master carver!

Lucas lives in Ottawa now! Originally from a small community, Arctic Bay, one of the two most northerly communities on Baffin Island. Lucas is of the last generation of Inuit, born and raised on the land. Lucas is also a very talented, self taught,  musician.
